I have a 581 series tactical mini 14 with the full synthetic stock. Over all length of part: I love the rifle but i just like the look a wood stock better than the synthetic.
The choate hand guard looks good and provides better ventilation than the stock handguard and much better than a wood one. I can't wait for the next batch to come out. Comes with boyds' 1/2 rubber recoil pad.

Point a = 29/32 and point b = 5/8. The wood handguard looks so good, but it wouldn't have been worth it if there were some serious performance issues. Let me know if you find somewhere with them in stock.
